Daniel Bretonès Founder and Chairman of ACTRAD

Daniel Bretonès has been involved in the development of numerous companies and organizations in France, Europe, the United States and Latin America. He has also supported start-ups in their international development.

Start Upper in New York:

He started up a Roussel / Elan Pharmaceuticals joint venture in New York :

At the Nutrition Division of Roussel Uclaf Laboratories in the late 1980s, as Marketing Director USA, he introduced the most innovative clinical nutrition products to American hospitals. In this capacity, he took part in the launch of the US subsidiary in New York as part of a joint venture with the biotech company "Elan Pharmaceuticals".

Innovation Manager:

In the early 1990s, within the Elf/Total Group's Innovation Department, he created the first corporate social network, "CATs", applied to strategic projects. He disseminated innovation management methods within the group's subsidiaries and validated over 200 innovation projects.

With Sanofi, he developed a collaborative project management methodology with dedicated network tools that accelerate the time-to-market for drugs.

Fundraiser for start-ups and SMEs:

Since 1995, he has been a consultant to SMEs and start-ups, helping them to develop their business models and raise funds.

Head of program at Grande École de Commerce:

With ESCEM since 2005 (Grande Ecole de Commerce de Tours /Poitiers /Orléans, AACSB and Equis accredited) as Professor of Management, he founded the ADVISE Master degree in Information Technology Solutions in partnership with IBM. He also runs a Master degree in International Management created in partnership with the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec).

He is responsible for academic relations with universities in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula.

From 2014 to 2016, he directed academic research on the Poitiers campus.

Associate member of the NIMEC laboratory (University of Normandy):

His work and publications focus on development strategies, innovation management and entrepreneurship, and business clusters.

Promoter of French academic and managerial excellence:

With ANDESE, the french national association of Doctors in Economics and Management, he organizes the annual ANDESE thesis prize, which selects the best works in French academic research.
